How it works

Welcome to Swedish Select Horse Sales 2024!
Below you will find general information about the auction. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Online auction
Swedish Select Horse Sales 2024 will be held as an online only auction between 20-21 November. This means that the auction will open for bids on Wednesday the 20th of November and close for bids in the evening of Thursday the 21st of November.

You can follow the bids online but to bid you have to be registered as a bidder. You register as a bidder via this link, sshs.auction/register.

Time schedule
The auction will open for bids at 12:00 local Swedish time on the 20th of November. The auction will start closing at 20:00 local Swedish time on the 21st of November.

All horses open for bids at the same time but they close in 4 different groups with 14 minutes between each group.

  • Group 1 (horses 1-5) will close Thursday 21st at 20:00 pm
  • Group 2 (horses 6-10) will close Thursday 21st at 20:14 pm
  • Group 3 (horses 11-15) will close Thursday 21st at 20:28 pm
  • Group 4 (horses 16-21) will close Thursday 21st at 20:42 pm

Bidding
The starting bid for each horse is given in SEK for each horse. The bidding steps is made with SEK 5000. Please note that all bidding is made in Swedish Kronor (SEK). An indicative value between the Euro and SEK is given at the top of the webpage.

When placing a bid you will be given a summary for the bid including comission and VAT. You have to accept the terms and conditions for the auction when placing a bid.

The end of the auction of a particular horse is automatically extended by another 5 minutes after the last bid. For example: A bid is placed at 19:59 pm pm on catalogue number 1, which would automatically expire at 20.00 pm. Now the end of the auction of catalogue number 1 is extened with 5 minutes to 20:04 pm, and so on. The auction for the individual catalogue number ends as soon as no higher bid is placed in the corresponding period. Please note that the end of the auction for other catalogue numbers is not affected by this.

Clinical examination and x-rays
All horses in the auction have been examined clinically and x-rays have been made. You will find the reports from the clinical examination and the x-rays under each respective horse at our auction collecion. To be able to download these documents, you have to be registered as a buyer. Please note that there can be veterinary remarks on the reports from the clinical examination and the x-rays.

Delivery of the horse
Buyer and Seller must agree on a delivery date of the horse. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to collect the horse as stated in section 9 of the terms and conditions.
